Here offered is a Vintage
Pierce Arrow
Automobile Radiator Ornament Desk Set. This original period desk set has a solid bronze likeness of the iconic
Pierce Arrow
'Archer' mounted to the wood base. In addition, a bronze plaque is affixed to the base describing the famous automotive mascot. There is also a pen holder and 'envelope rack' seated on the base. Though the exact age of this striking desk set is unknown, it is believed to have possibly been produced in the 1960's, based on the materials and design. Unfortunately, research could not produce any additional information on this unique decorative item.
The base measures 7-1/2 inches x 9-1/2 inches while the bronze statue stands 4-1/2 inches in height. There are no manufacturer markings other than a 'Made In U.S.A.' stamp on the pen.
The ornate set appears to be in Very Good condition with only two cork pads missing from the underside. This will make a fantastic addition to the library of any historic automobile aficionado ! (See Photos)
