Vintage PONTIAC GM Chrome Hood Ornament, from 1940's - 1950's - GM
.
This auction is for a Vintage and Authentic Shiny
PONTIAC Chrome Hood Ornament, with 4 mounting studs
used for  classic GM Chieftain  Chieftain Sedan Coupe  cars used during years: 1949 ? 1940's - 1950's. There is writing on front in script letters "Pontiac" and in the back is marked/stamped "MADE IN USA" "PT" "511667" "AC1" and in the circle is number "49".
It measures about 14 1/2" in length  and 2 7/8" in height.
Ornament is in nice and shiny used condition for its age and use;  chrome finish shows  wear, pitting/scratches, black paint is missing in some parts of Pontiac writing, on one stud there is screw which is stuck (when I tried it
unscrews together
with the stud). It is in original condition, just cleaned a little and preserved with WD-40. Part is a great candidate for restoration if you wish or use as it is right now. Fast shipping. Please see images for more details of actual item for sale.
